# Gemini CLI SEO MCP: Set Up zaDojo

Source: https://zadojo.com/docs/gemini-cli

> Connect the zaDojo SEO and AI visibility MCP server to Gemini CLI or Antigravity CLI with OAuth or an API key, check it works, and add the SEO skills.

zaDojo works in Gemini CLI and in Antigravity CLI (`agy`), which replaced Gemini CLI for free and Google One users in June 2026. Once connected, the agent can research keywords, read live Google results, check competitor rankings and backlinks, audit a site, track rankings and AI answers, and read your Search Console and Google Analytics data from the terminal.

## What you need

* A zaDojo account. [Sign up](https://app.zadojo.com/sign-up) to get €0.10 of trial credits with no card. The plan is €10 a month with €10 of usage included.
* Gemini CLI or Antigravity CLI.

## Gemini CLI

Add the server for your user account:

```bash
gemini mcp add --transport http --scope user zadojo https://app.zadojo.com/mcp
```

Start Gemini CLI. It detects that zaDojo needs a login and opens it in your browser. If it does not, run `/mcp auth zadojo`.

To edit settings by hand, add this to `~/.gemini/settings.json` (or `.gemini/settings.json` for one project). Use `httpUrl`, because `url` means the older SSE transport:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "zadojo": {
      "httpUrl": "https://app.zadojo.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

With an API key from [Settings > API keys](https://app.zadojo.com/settings):

```bash
gemini mcp add --transport http --scope user \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $ZADOJO_API_KEY" zadojo https://app.zadojo.com/mcp
```

Run `/mcp` inside the CLI or `gemini mcp list` in your shell to see whether zaDojo is connected.

## Antigravity CLI

Antigravity reads `~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json` for every project and `.agents/mcp_config.json` for one workspace. It needs `serverUrl`:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "zadojo": {
      "serverUrl": "https://app.zadojo.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

Restart `agy`, approve the zaDojo login in your browser, and type `/mcp` to check the status. For an API key, add `"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer zadojo_YOUR_KEY" }` next to `serverUrl`, and keep that file out of version control.

## Add the SEO skills

```bash
npx skills add zadojo/seo-geo-mcp --skill '*' --agent gemini-cli
```

Use `--agent antigravity` for Antigravity CLI, and add `-g` to install for every project. The [skills overview](/docs/skills) lists all twelve.

## Check the connection

Send:

```text
Use zaDojo to check my connection and list my projects.
```

The agent should call `whoami` and `list_projects`, which are free. If it describes MCP instead, run `/mcp` to see whether zaDojo is connected or waiting for a login.

## Good first requests

* "Run a zaDojo site audit for example.com and summarise the five most important fixes."
* "Research keywords for 'bookkeeping for freelancers' in the UK and group them into pages."
* "Ask ChatGPT and Gemini who they recommend for 'best invoicing app for freelancers' and list the cited sites."

Search Console and Analytics reads, saved reports and plain site audits use no credits. The agent is told to ask before any planned batch over €2. The [MCP guide](/docs/mcp) lists every tool.
