# Windsurf SEO MCP: Set Up zaDojo in Devin Desktop

> Connect the zaDojo SEO and AI visibility MCP server to Windsurf (now Devin Desktop) and Cascade with OAuth or an API key, and add the SEO skills.

Windsurf was renamed Devin Desktop in June 2026. The MCP setup below works in the Cascade agent of Devin Desktop and in recent Windsurf builds. Once zaDojo is connected, Cascade can research keywords, read live Google results, check competitor rankings and backlinks, audit your site, track rankings and AI answers, and read your Search Console and Google Analytics data.

## What you need

* A zaDojo account. [Sign up](https://app.zadojo.com/sign-up) to get €0.10 of trial credits with no card. The plan is €10 a month with €10 of usage included.
* Devin Desktop or Windsurf with Cascade.

## Add the MCP server

1. In the Cascade panel, open the **...** menu at the top right.
2. In the MCPs section, click **Open MCP config file**.
3. Add zaDojo:

4. Save the file. zaDojo appears in the MCPs list with an on/off switch.
5. Approve the zaDojo login in your browser when Cascade asks.

The config file lives at `~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json` on macOS and Linux and `%APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json` on Windows. Older Windsurf builds used `~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json`.

### With an API key

If the browser login does not work, create a key in [Settings > API keys](https://app.zadojo.com/settings), put it in an environment variable named `ZADOJO_API_KEY`, and reference it:

## Mind the 100-tool limit

Cascade can use at most 100 tools at once across all MCP servers. zaDojo has more than 80. If you also run other servers, open zaDojo in the MCPs list and switch off individual tools you do not need, for example the local SEO tools if you have no physical location.

## Add the SEO skills

Use `--agent devin` instead if your install reads skills from Devin's folders. Add `-g` to install for every project. The [skills overview](/docs/skills) explains each skill.

## Check the connection

Start a new Cascade chat and send:

Cascade should call `whoami` and `list_projects`, which are free. If it does not, check that zaDojo is switched on in the MCPs list and start a new chat.

* "Find keywords for the product page I have open."
* "Which of my pages lost clicks in Search Console this month, and why?"
