Best AI visibility tools for GEO and AEO in 2026
Twelve tools that track how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews mention your brand, compared on price, prompts, engines and MCP access.
By Denis VeisllariPrices checked on
AI visibility tools (also sold as GEO or AEO tools) ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and other answer engines the questions your buyers ask, then record whether your brand is named, which competitors are named instead, and which pages the answers cite. Most charge by the number of prompts you track and the number of engines, and most keep API or MCP access for their higher plans.
Prices start at €15 a month (Rankscale, billed yearly) and run past €356 for agency plans. MCP access, which lets an agent such as Claude or ChatGPT run the tracking for you, usually sits higher up: Rankscale includes it from €15 a month paid yearly, Geoptie from €74 a month billed yearly, Otterly from €168 a month. zaDojo includes MCP on every account, trial included, in a €10 monthly plan with €10 of usage, and charges about €0.002 per prompt per engine on scheduled checks. No other tool here gives an agent access for €10 a month.
We make zaDojo. Competitor facts on this page come from each vendor's pricing page or documentation on the date shown above; where a vendor only shows a yearly price, we say so. Most vendors list prices in US dollars; we show them in euros converted at 1 EUR = 1.1225 USD (ECB rate, 19 October 2026), so the amount you pay depends on your card's exchange rate.

What zaDojo costs for real tracking
Tracking is billed per answer, so the cost depends on prompts, engines and how often you check:
| Setup | Checks a month | Cost a month |
|---|---|---|
| 20 prompts, ChatGPT and Gemini, weekly | about 170 | about €0.35 |
| 50 prompts, ChatGPT and Gemini, weekly | about 430 | about €0.90 |
| 100 prompts, ChatGPT and Gemini, daily | about 6,000 | about €12 |
These are scheduled checks at about €0.002 each. Run now checks, Claude and Perplexity cost more per answer because they use live APIs. The €10 plan covers the first two rows with room left for SEO research. The cost preview in the app shows the exact figure before you start.
zaDojo
zaDojo combines AI visibility with a full SEO toolkit: keyword research, live Google results, competitor rankings and backlinks, site audits, rank tracking, and read-only Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Prompt Research turns a keyword into related questions, ChatGPT's answer to each and the sites it cited (about €0.25 per keyword, US English, questions mostly from Google's "People also ask").
- Prompt Explorer asks one question live and compares ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity side by side.
- Prompt Tracking asks saved prompts daily, weekly or monthly in ChatGPT and Gemini (collected from their consumer apps), with Google AI Overviews, Claude and Perplexity as options. The Citations view splits cited pages into yours and third-party.
- MCP and skills: any account, trial included, can run all of this from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, VS Code, Windsurf or Gemini CLI. The server is remote, connects with OAuth or an API key, and has more than 80 tools, so the same agent can also pull keyword, ranking and backlink data. The AI Visibility Audit skill turns the answers into a short list of changes.
Choose it if you want AI visibility and SEO in one place at a low cost, or want your agent to run the tracking. Look elsewhere if you need Copilot, Grok or Meta AI coverage, a prebuilt database of millions of prompts, persona-based prompts, or enterprise features such as SSO.

Ahrefs Brand Radar
Ahrefs plans from Lite (€115 a month) include custom prompt tracking with 150 checks a month. Brand Radar's AI index, built from more than 496 million prompts modelled on Ahrefs keyword data, is a separate add-on. Ahrefs' MCP server reaches the same data.

Choose it if you are an enterprise team that needs the widest engine coverage, agent analytics and compliance paperwork. What the trial and Enterprise plan include, and seven alternatives with public prices, are in Profound pricing and alternatives.
HubSpot AEO Grader
HubSpot's AEO Grader is a free one-off report scored out of 100, based on answers from GPT, Perplexity and Gemini. It does not track over time; HubSpot sells ongoing tracking separately.
Choose it if you want a quick first look before paying for anything.
How to choose
- Count your prompts. 20 to 50 buying questions is enough for most companies. Paying for 350 prompts you never write is waste.
- Pick engines by audience. ChatGPT first, then Google (AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini). Add Perplexity, Copilot or Claude if your buyers use them.
- Check where MCP starts. If you want your agent to run the tracking, compare the price of the plan that includes MCP, not the entry plan.
- Look at citations, not only mentions. The cited pages tell you what to change. Make sure the tool shows them.
- Run it for a month before deciding. Answers vary from day to day; one week of data is noise.

Questions people ask
What is the difference between GEO tools and AEO tools? None in practice. Vendors pick whichever term their buyers search for. Both track how AI answers mention your brand.
Is there a free AI visibility tool? HubSpot's AEO Grader gives a free one-off report, and AthenaHQ has a free tier with 300 credits. For ongoing tracking, zaDojo's trial credits cover a first round of checks, and its €10 plan covers weekly tracking of 50 prompts with most of the usage left over.
Do these tools show AI search volume? Some estimate it. Nobody outside the AI companies can measure how often a question is asked, so treat any volume figure as a guess.
