How we test and write about SEO tools

The rules behind every zaDojo comparison and guide.

Last updated 20 October 2026

zaDojo publishes comparisons and guides about SEO tools, and some of those tools compete with ours. That is a conflict of interest, so this page sets out the rules we follow when we write about them. If a page breaks one of these rules, tell us and we will fix it.

Who writes and approves each page

Comparisons and guides are written by Denis Veisllari, the founder of zaDojo. Drafts may be prepared with AI tools. Every page is checked and approved by a person before it goes live, and guides name their author.

How we check competitor prices

  • We take prices from the vendor's own pricing page, never from review sites, forums or old screenshots.
  • Each comparison shows the date we last checked the price.
  • We check again at least once a month and update the page when a price or plan changes.
  • We quote prices in the currency the vendor charges, usually US dollars, with an approximate euro amount in brackets based on the European Central Bank reference rate.

How we treat our own product

  • We make zaDojo, and our comparisons say so.
  • When another tool is the better pick for a reader, we say that plainly and explain why.
  • zaDojo prices are given in euros, as we charge them: €10 a month with €10 of usage included. The pricing page has the current numbers.

How we run tests

  • We give each tool the same tasks, for example the same seed keyword, the same domain or the same list of keywords to track.
  • We use real accounts, not demos or marketing pages.
  • We publish only results we can show, such as screenshots or exported data.

Search volumes and traffic figures are estimates in every SEO tool, zaDojo included. Two tools will often report different numbers for the same keyword. We point that out instead of calling one of them correct.

No paid placement

No competitor pays us to be included, left out, ranked or described in a particular way. We don't sell ad space on this site.

Report a mistake

Email hello@zadojo.com with the page address and what is wrong. A link to the source, such as the vendor's pricing page, helps us check it quickly. We correct confirmed mistakes within a few working days and update the check date on the page.

Stay in the loop

Product updates, new features, and the occasional behind-the-scenes.
