Semrush pricing in 2026: every plan, seat and add-on

What Semrush costs today, from the free account to Pro+ and Advanced, what extra users and toolkits add, and how the trial, refunds and API access work.

By Denis VeisllariPrices checked on

Semrush's paid plans start at $139 a month (about €124) for one user. Starter costs $199 (about €177) and Pro+ $299 (about €266). Advanced has no public price; Semrush quotes it after a demo. Paying for a year upfront lowers each plan by up to 17%, and there is a free account with daily limits.

Prices below come from semrush.com/pricing and the Semrush Knowledge Base. Semrush charges in US dollars, so each price has a euro equivalent at 1 EUR = 1.1225 USD. Visitors from the euro area see euro prices on Semrush's own page instead; on the day we checked, those were €134 for SEO, €190 for Starter and €286 for Pro+ a month.

Paid plans update tracked keywords daily, and every plan includes one user. Yearly billing is paid in full at the start of the year. Large organizations can also ask for an Enterprise agreement with custom limits, single sign-on and audit logs.

What each plan includes

The SEO plan suits a freelancer or small business with up to 5 sites. It covers basic keyword research and competitor analysis, Position Tracking (Semrush's rank tracker), Site Audit, and AI visibility reports for any domain. It does not include MCP access.

Starter keeps the same 5 websites and 500 tracked keywords and adds the wider keyword research and competitor insight tools, MCP access for AI assistants, 50 AI prompts tracked daily for one domain, 300 AI visibility reports a day and an AI readiness site audit.

Pro+ raises the limits to 15 websites and 1,500 daily keywords, and it is the first plan with historical data. For the main databases (US, UK, Canada, Australia, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Brazil) that history goes back to January 2012. Pro+ also adds content optimization, keyword cannibalization reports, multi-location and device tracking, and 100 tracked prompts.

Advanced is for teams with 40 or more sites. It adds share of voice reporting, API access and team features, and you get a price after a demo.

Semrush One and the older Pro, Guru and Business plans

"Semrush One" is the name Semrush uses for the plans that combine SEO and AI visibility: Starter, Pro+ and Advanced. The SEO plan sits below them, with fewer AI visibility features and no MCP access.

Before Semrush One, the SEO Toolkit came in three tiers: Pro, Guru and Business. Semrush's help center now calls them SEO Classic plans, and they no longer appear on the public pricing page. If you search for Semrush Guru, the closest current plan is Pro+. Semrush's help pages put the two side by side: both include historical data, both charge $80 (about €71) per extra user, and both include 50,000 MCP API units. Existing Guru customers can check their terms under Subscription Info in their account.

What extra users cost

Each extra person needs their own seat:

PlanPrice per extra user per month
SEOFrom $45 (about €40)
Starter$45 (about €40)
Pro+$80 (about €71)
Advanced$100 (about €89)
Local, Content or Social toolkit alone$20 (about €18)

A three-person team on Pro+ pays $459 a month in total (about €409), which is the plan plus two extra seats.

Toolkits and add-ons

Semrush sells its other products as separate toolkits. Toolkit prices below are per month on yearly billing, as the pricing page shows them. Report and lead generation add-ons are monthly prices.

AI Visibility$99 per domain (about €88)25 prompts tracked daily, mentions in ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity

Free account and free trial

The free account needs no card. It gives you one project, 10 analytics requests a day and 10 tracked keywords, which is enough to look around but not to run SEO for a business.

The free trial lasts 7 days and covers the paid SEO and AI search plans and most toolkits. Semrush asks for a card and makes a small charge to check it, which it refunds straight away; you pay nothing until the trial ends. If you don't cancel in time, the trial becomes a paid subscription at the normal rate. Each toolkit trial works once per account, and exports are switched off during a trial.

API and MCP pricing

Semrush has two ways for software to reach its data.

The MCP server lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Cursor, VS Code and Claude Code read Semrush data. Starter and Pro+ include 50,000 MCP API units, which refresh on your subscription renewal date. Advanced, and the older Business plan, need an MCP unit package of 2, 5, 10 or 20 million units. The connection is read-only, so an assistant can't change anything in your account. Traffic and market data needs a separate Trends API plan.

The full Semrush API comes with Advanced. API units are sold separately in packages of 2, 5, 10 or 20 million, and Semrush doesn't publish their prices, so you ask sales. Unused units expire at renewal. The Trends API for traffic data is a separate subscription with its own request limit.

Refunds and cancelling

Semrush has a one-time 7-day money-back guarantee. It covers your first subscription with a term of 12 months or more, or your first add-on, bought on semrush.com with a credit card. You have to ask in writing within 7 calendar days. Month-to-month plans and renewals are not refundable.

To cancel, fill in the cancellation form while logged in, then click the link in the confirmation email within 24 hours. If you don't, Semrush does not process the cancellation and billing continues. To ask for a refund at the same time, write it in the form's comments field. After cancelling you keep a free account, and Semrush keeps your Website Monitoring project data for 30 days in case you renew.

Which Semrush plan fits

  • One website, occasional research: the free account plus Google Search Console may be enough. If not, the SEO plan.
  • You want an AI assistant to use Semrush data, or you want AI prompt tracking: Starter.
  • Six to fifteen sites, or you need data from past years: Pro+.
  • More than 15 sites, API access or a large team: Advanced, priced after a demo.

Who owns Semrush

Adobe completed its purchase of Semrush on 28 April 2026. In its customer FAQ, Semrush said there would be no immediate changes to products, billing or pricing.

How zaDojo compares

We make zaDojo, an SEO and AI visibility platform that works through the AI agent you already use. It has one plan: €10 a month, which includes €10 of usage credits, every feature, unlimited projects and no seat fees. MCP access is included from the free trial on. It uses DataForSEO data and has no ad research or content writing toolkit, so it does not replace everything Semrush sells. See zaDojo vs Semrush for a side-by-side look and zaDojo pricing for typical costs.
