SEO tools for agencies: many clients, one account
How an agency can run SEO and AI visibility for many clients in one place: a project per client, shared access, usage pricing and MCP agents.
The best SEO tools for agencies keep each client separate, let the whole team work without buying a seat per person, and charge for the work done rather than for licences that sit idle. In zaDojo that means one project per client, teammates invited to the organization, and one shared balance that pays only for the data you pull. You can do the work in the app or hand it to an AI agent over MCP.
This guide walks through how an agency can set that up, and where the limits are.
One project per client
Create a project for each client site. Each project keeps its own context:
- The site and its market (country and language).
- Competitors.
- Key pages, each tagged with a role such as hub, supporting page or conversion page.
- Goals and positioning in plain words.
That context is what keeps work for one client from bleeding into another. Prompt tracking matches AI answers against the brand and competitors stored on the project, and an agent reads the same context before it starts a task, so you do not repeat the brief every time.
Switch between clients with the project switcher at the top of the app.
Team access without seat licences
Invite teammates by email from team settings. Invited people join as Admins, with full access to every project except billing. The owner manages billing and can transfer ownership to someone else. Invite links expire after 7 days.
There is no per-seat price. The plan is €10 a month with €10 of usage included, and adding a colleague does not change it.
Pay for usage, not for idle seats
Paid features (keyword research, domain overview, backlinks, site audits, rank tracking and AI answer checks) draw from one balance for the whole organization. The billing page breaks usage down by feature, so you can see where the money goes.
For an agency this changes the maths. A small client with a handful of tracked keywords costs very little, and a larger client costs more because you run more checks for them. Check the cost preview before you schedule tracking, and price your retainers from what each client actually uses. SEO pricing covers what clients compare your quote against.
Note that usage is shown per feature, not per client project. If you need an exact cost per client, note the cost previews when you set each client up.
New accounts get €0.10 of trial credit with no card, enough to try a few lookups before you subscribe.
Rank tracking
Set up rank tracking per client and run checks whenever you need fresh positions. History builds up with each check, which is what you need for a monthly client update. Scheduled daily, weekly and monthly checks are paused for now because Google results have been unreliable to collect; the app says so on the tracking page, and manual checks still work.
AI prompt tracking
Clients now ask whether ChatGPT recommends them. Prompt tracking asks a fixed set of buying questions on a schedule across ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Claude and Perplexity, and records whether each answer names the client or links their site. The Citations view shows which pages the answers rely on, split into the client's own pages and third-party pages.
For the method, see how to track your brand in ChatGPT answers, and what AEO is when a client asks what the work involves.
Site audits
Run a site audit for each client to find technical problems: broken pages, redirect chains, noindex on pages that should rank, missing titles and similar issues. Each issue comes with an explanation and a suggested fix, which you can pass straight to the client's developer.
Client reports
Reports are saved per project as self-contained pages. You can create report templates so every client gets the same structure each month, and share a report with a link. The SEO report template gives an outline to start from. The share link shows the latest saved version and is hidden from search engines.
Reports carry zaDojo's own layout. There is no white-label or custom-domain option, so tell clients where the report comes from.
Run the work through an AI agent
Connect the zaDojo MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex or another MCP client, and the agent can use the same tools you use in the app. A typical agency request:
"For the Acme project, check this month's rank changes and AI mentions, then write the monthly report from our template."
The agent reads the project context, pulls the data, and saves the report to the project. Paid calls draw from the same balance, and the agent can check the cost before it schedules tracking. See SEO agents for more on how this works, and agent setup to connect your client.
Questions people ask
Do I pay more for each team member?
No. Teammates join the organization at no extra charge. You pay the plan and the usage.
Can clients log in and see their own project?
Anyone you invite joins as an Admin with access to every project in the organization. There is no client-only role, so share reports by link instead of inviting clients.
Can I white-label reports?
No. Reports can be shared by link, but they are not white-labelled.
